1Nano Water 2019 [ISRC GBSMU7525824] 6:26

3Nano Water 2009 [ISRC GBSMU7525826] 3:17

This melody was inspired by a strange, surreal dream: invisible waves of invisible water (ocean?) Rolled over the city, plunging streets and buildings into an invisible abyss. We did not see this water, but felt its presence.
When I woke up, I sat down at the synthesizer and composed this melody. This happened in 2009. For the first time, this composition in various arrangements was published in the albums "Nano Age" (45RPM-Records, 2011) and "Nano Life" (45 Echoes Sounds, 2013). But in 2018, I suddenly turned to this melody again and composed a new arrangement for it. This new version first appeared on the Thaneco Records Greek label “From Inner To Outer Space: A Celebration Of Electronic Music”.
Finally, in 2020, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Nano Water, I decided to publish all three versions of the track under one cover.
In the recording of this song was used synthesizers Korg Wavestation SR, Novation Ultranova, Korg Microkorg XL, and the percussion from Reason. The track is recorded and mixed in DAW Reaper.

~~~
Эта мелодия была вдохновлена странным, сюрреалистическим сном: невидимые волны невидимой воды (океана?) накатывали на город, погружая улицы и здания в невидимую глазу пучину. Мы не видели эту воду, но ощущали её присутствие.
Проснувшись, я сел за синтезатор и сочинил эту мелодию. Это произошло в 2009 году. Впервые эта композиция в разных аранжировках была опубликована в альбомах «Nano Age» (45RPM-Records, 2011) и «Nano Life» (45 Echoes Sounds, 2013). Но в 2018 году я вдруг снова обратился к этой мелодии и сочинил для неё новую аранжировку. Эта новая версия впервые появилась на сборнике греческого лэйбла Thaneco Records «From Inner To Outer Space: A Celebration Of Electronic Music».
Наконец, в 2020 году, по случаю десятилетней годовщины «Nano Water», я решил издать все три версии трека под одной обложкой.
Review from Earth Mantra
Our friend, Russian electronic maestro Evgenij V. Kharitonov, returns to Earth Mantra with another beautiful release under his EugeneKha pseudonym called "Green Quest".
We have always been struck by the diversity of musical styles that Evgenij takes on, and this album is a textbook case in point. Where his previous Earth Mantra releases covered such territory as dark ambience, space music, and electronic soundscapes, with "Green Quest" he ventures into the worlds of light ambience and new age. Fully embracing traditional concepts like melody, formal structure, and acoustic instrumentation, this is a collection of lovely, peaceful pieces that are simply delightful.
Interestingly, we glimpse moments of Eno-esque mood music amid all the tonality. Is this a collection of new age pieces that blend in touches of ambience, or is this ambient music with new age overtones? We find it difficult to categorize this music, for it exists somewhere in the netherworld between the two, a fascinating blend of styles. In the end, however, it really doesn't matter how one labels the music, for it is a musically satisfying and utterly soothing listen that will appeal to a broad variety of listeners.
One might deduce from the album name that there is an ecological theme happening in this album, and one might be correct. But this is not the sort of music-with-a-message that raps you on the knuckles and instructs you to pay attention. Although the titles certainly give it away, the music itself subtly reinforces the Gaian theme, through Evgenij's masterful use of visuals and field recordings. As we listen, in our mind's eye we envision warm pools of crystal clear water surrounded by lush greenery, towering pine trees penetrated by buttery shafts of sunlight, and whispering fields of tall-grass stretching as far as the eye can see. Truly imaginative work that succeeds on multiple levels.
So it is with great pleasure that we welcome back EugeneKha to Earth Mantra and proudly present "Green Quest" to our audience. A gorgeous collection of refreshing music that we think our listeners will enjoy immensely.
‘River Songs’ is an album in which I tried to connect some musical elements: ambient, modern classical, Ethnic and Instrumental. REVIEW FROM EARTH MANTRA
Earth Mantra has long been a big fan of the various electronic music made by Moscow-based artist Evgenij Kharitonov, who records intriguing and boundary pushing ambient space music under the name EugeneKha. But with his latest release, called "Mantra of Space Monks", we feel he has produced his best work yet, an album of truly immense significance.
EugeneKha has always been about sound design, and about fusing together disparate elements to create what we might term 'progressive ambient' music. With his latest work, he continues to polish the sculpture and texture of the sound, but he has eschewed rhythm and pulsation, focusing instead on deep and entrancing ambient elements that combine to form some of the most immersive space music we've heard in awhile. And yet, despite its mesmerizing aspects, the music retains Evgenij's signature ability to bend familiar sounds into new and unique devices that are both immediately approachable and yet distinctive and refreshing. Imagine if Boards of Canada slowed themselves way down and took a deep dive into pure beatless ambience. Now combine that with elements of Eno and a strong sense of traditional space music, and you have a glimmer of understanding of the type of material you might find in this delicious album.
We've heard a lot of superb pure ambience from EugeneKha before, but we are struck by the great patience and minimalism of pieces like "The Calmness Sea" and "Ethereal Drone", tracks that really showcase the artist's mastery of the ambient form and demonstrate how he has found a zone of truly placid and soothing ambient composition that only some of the masters of the genre have
previously encountered. With such profound subtlety and grace, we sincerely believe this is an album that will stand the test of time, and certainly one of the top releases of 2010.
So it is with great pleasure we unveil the latest Earth Mantra release by EugeneKha. We hope Evgenij continues in this direction, and continues to share with us his extraordinary musical vision.
Review from EARTH MANTRA
earman075 - EugeneKha - Distant Space
We've mentioned several times in our introductions to our releases how much we
enjoy meeting new artists and discovering new music. Our joy continues unabated
as we welcome prolific Russian electronic musician and all-around renaissance
man Evgenij V. Kharitonov to the Earth Mantra family. Evgenij releases
intelligent and thought provoking electronic music under the name EugeneKha.
When we first sat down to listen to his new eclectic ambient release "Distant
Space", we were initially somewhat concerned by the length of the album. "How
can anyone say anything of substance in only 40 minutes of audio?", we wondered
to ourselves. How refreshing it was to discover that not only does this music
have plenty to say, but has a density and efficiency that is simply remarkable.
EugeneKha carefully chooses his every note and sound, making maximum use of
every moment of listening. The duration of the album is perfect for the music;
in fact, the music might have been ruined if it were embedded in another twenty
or thirty minutes of ambient washes or field recordings.
Perhaps ambient music does sometimes spend too much time establishing the
setting but not enough time actually delivering the message. This fantastic
artist shows us a path forward where the music communicates exactly the right
way in precisely the right amount of time, without sacrificing the creativity or
scope of vision in the slightest.
And the music delivers in spades. Evgenij describes his album as "space ambient"
but it is much more than the typical space music fare one might expect. He
blends in delicious bits of electronica, with an arpeggio here, some glitchiness
there, and always with an inventive and fascinating approach to sound design.
Not only does this music sound like nothing else we've heard, it doesn't even
follow the same formula from track to track. The breadth of EugeneKha's musical
vision and the flexibility of his approach is actually quite astonishing.
So we are very pleased to bring you "Distant Space", EugeneKha's first Earth
Mantra release, one that we hope leads to many other releases in the future. And
congratulations to EugeneKha for reminding us that music isn't about duration or
predefined formulas; it is about meaning and creativity.
